Choose Your Tribe
Each tribe offers a different way to control the game—and a different way to win.
DRAGON - TRIBE:
Ascension - If left unchecked, she will win.
LION - TRIBE:
Dominion - Supress your opponents and dictate the pace.
OWL - TRIBE:
Guile - Information is everything, use it to manipulate the game.
RHINO - TRIBE:
Agression - When brute force fails, do it again, eventually they will break.
GAMEPLAY
Simple to learn. Hard to master.
Hybrid is a competitive, social, multiplayer strategy card game where players lead powerful Tribes—Dragon, Lion, Owl, and Rhino—each representing a different path to score and to victory.
1. Draw from a shared deck and adapt to your hand.
2. Choose your tribe and your method of scoring with unique tribe powers.
3. Score and out maneuver your opponents. Along the way, use actions and reactions, to disrupt the game.
4. Timing, reading and manipulating the table are important.
5. Knowing when your opponents are within reach of winning is key.
It is a game of calculated risk, shifting alliances, and perfectly timed disruption with many decisions that could impact the game. No two games unfold the same way.
PURGE: ACTION
All Hybrid players discard 1 Tribe card of their choice from play.
MOBILIZE: ACTION
You may play 1 additional Tribe or Alliance card this turn.
OVERLOAD: ACTION
Discard 2 or more identical cards to gain VP equal to the number of cards discarded.
Why Hybrid
We wanted to create a social multiplayer card game inspired by deck building card games, but using a creative Hybrid Shared Deck System to keep the barrier of entry low, while keeping strategy in the fore front — where every card mattered and every player has the power to change the outcome of the game. Too many games rely on luck alone.
Hybrid was designed to reward timing, strategy, and psychological play — where alliances can shift, plans can collapse, and the smartest player wins.
